FAQ

How do I compare a product's price?

Open the app, point the camera at the barcode and wait a few seconds. If you can't scan, tap the 🔢 button and type the barcode in.

Which stores are covered?

Romanian chains such as Carrefour, Kaufland, Auchan, Mega Image, Selgros, dm and Cobyul. Coverage varies by city. Prices are for information only and may differ from the shelf. Economisescu is not affiliated with these stores.

Why can't the app find a product?

Either stores near you don't sell it, or we haven't matched that barcode to the product yet. If you have an account you can suggest the match from the app.

Do I need an account?

No. An account (email and one-time code, no password) is only needed for baskets and to sync your history across devices.

Why does the app ask for my location?

To show how far each store is and sort stores by distance. Your location never leaves your phone. See the privacy policy.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Settings (⚙️) → Account → Delete account. The account is locked right away, and after 7 days we delete your email and device data; history and contributions are kept only in anonymous form. If you change your mind, email contact@economisescu.ro within the 7 days and we'll cancel the deletion. If you no longer have the app, email us from your account address and we'll delete it.
